It is that festive time of the year for giving.  Frostafari is giving away his 2008 Dub Jar Album for free.  This was his first official album release that has been on sale since May.  Dub Jar is an entirely electronic album, meaning that it was composed and produced with various music production software programs and a Midi Controller Keyboard.  Dub Jar consists of 13 unique reggae-ish instrumentals laced with cool beats and unique jazzy riffs.  You will find the Frostafari sound quite soothing, relaxing and creatively inspiring - something you have never heard before.  Feel free to download your free copy today.  Also check back periodically for Frostafari's next free album release which will be in the genre of jazz electronica.  This album is currently a work in progress, currently untitled, and will be scheduled for release by the end of the First Quarter of 2009.  Peace and have a Happy New Year.

Frostafari.com has undergone a face-lift to feature up-to-date information about the music industry and links to quality music production equipment and software for music professionals and amateurs alike.  With a little start up capital anybody can become a music composer.  Purchasing quality musical equipment and production software coupled with a little outside the box mentality can spark enough flame to start a musical inferno (non-disasterous that is).

Frostafari is living proof that just about anybody with simple ambition or interest in music, a little musical talent (I played piano since I was 8 years old), and just a little money can make their music come to life.  Frostafari believes that everyone has their own music written into their genes and deep within their soul and making that music come to life to be heard by others takes only the right equipment and some musical willpower.

To kickstart your musical endeavor please check out the Frostafari Music Instrument and Equipment Store.  Whether you are interested in making music just as a hobby to pass some time or trying to jumpstart a real music career - you will find all the right equipment and software here.

For starters, try out some software called Reason 3 - an industry leading music production software.  You can use it as a sequencer to loop already made and handy music samples like drum samples, instrumentals and just about anything having to do with sound to mix and mash your own DJ tracks.  After you've mastered a couple tracks using the sequencer, purchase a MIDI Controller Keyboard such as the M-Audio 88 Keystation Pro to use it with many of Reason's built-in synthesizers to record live tracks.  Have a passion for the electric guitar - no worries - just select one of several electric guitar instruments from Reason's built-in instrument database and start plugging away on your keyboard while recording to a drum loop.  Reason's Redrum is an amazing drum kit that features studio quality drum sounds from hi hats, snares and toms to bass kicks, claps and triangles, Redrum allows you to customize any drum sound and program them into virtually endless patterns.  Best of all Reason is all software based, so you don't need anything else than a computer to run it.
